The big question surrounding the world of cinema is regarding Christopher Nolan’s latest blockbuster, Tenet. As of now, Warner Bros still has the film penciled in for its July date but that is obviously still a big question mark given the state of the world with Covid-19, so much so that the latest trailer ends with “Coming to Theaters”.

Any year that we get a new film from Wes Anderson is a good one. We’ve been waiting in anticipation for news on his new film The French Dispatch ever since it was first announced and today we finally got the first official trailer for the highly anticipated film.

The film has a ridiculously star-studded cast, typical of an Anderson film, starring Benicio del Toro, Frances McDormand, Jeffrey Wright, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Timothée Chalamet, Léa Seydoux, Owen Wilson, Mathieu Amalric, Lyna Khoudri, Steve Park, and Bill Murray

By Will Oliver, March 4th 2015

Avengers: Age of Ultron group poster

With just about two months to go, Marvel’s been amping up fan hype and the promotional campaign for Avengers: Age of Ultron (as if it needs one) with a group poster, character posters, and a third trailer, originally set to drop during the premiere of American Crime, but instead dropped after a Twitter campaign that lasted a little over 4 hours.

Watch The ‘Community’ Season 6 Trailer

By Will Oliver, March 3rd 2015

Community Season 6

Attention all you Human Beings, the Community season 6 trailer has arrived. It not only gives us a look at the pilot, but it also gives us a glimpse into the entire season, all done while parodying the Avengers: Age Of Ultron trailer (“The Age Of Yahoo”). It’s perfect.

The trailer gives us brief looks at the gang and they don’t shy away from the fact that Troy and Shirley are missing. We also get some first look at new cast members Paget Brewster and Keith David, with the latter already proving he’s a perfect addition with one pitch perfect Ghostbuters joke.

As you’d expect, the show looks utterly chaotic and helter skelter, but I’m sure in the context of the season and each episode, it will all come into place.

Season 6 is really happening people! Be sure to catch the premiere on Yahoo! Screen on March 17. Find the trailer posted below.

Trailer: ‘Crimson Peak’

By Will Oliver, February 14th 2015

In a deluge of sub-par horror films, a scant glimmer of hope emerges. The first teaser for Guillermo del Toro’s Crimson Peak was released today, and what a breath of fresh air it is. I try not to write off movies based on a pre-concieved notions, but it really seems like Hollywood has run out of ideas to frighten us. All of the jump scares and demonic possessions have gotten a bit stale, and although they have their place, I think viewers are looking for something new.

Crimson Peak is a gothic horror film that seems to focus on creating an eerie sense of dread, rather than bait you into those loud startling moments. Del Toro was originally attached to a reboot of Disney’s Haunted Mansion, but the project went cold. I can imagine some of his concepts for that will make an appearance. The “haunted house” is such a classic idea, and though a few recent horror flicks like The Woman in Black (2012)have made valiant attempts, nothing has quite hit the mark yet. With Del Toro directing and a cast including Mia Wasikowska, Tom Hiddleston, Jessica Chastain, and Charlie Hunnam, I’m optimistic.

Crimson Peak hits theaters on October 16th, 2015.

The 2015 Super Bowl TV Spots

By Will Oliver, February 2nd 2015

Super Bowl 2015 TV spots

With roughly $4 million for a 30-second ad, motion picture companies would be nuts to not get some screen time during the Super Bowl. However, Marvel, Disney, and Warner Brothers held some of their most-anticipated cards close this year.
