It’s hard to believe that it was just last March that we saw IDLES at Rough Trade NYC and here we are a year and a half later and the band has already graduated to selling out Terminal 5 (passing by MHOW and Brooklyn Steel along the way).

It’s quite the feat, one that not many bands could pull off in such a short timeframe. But it’s clear that IDLES are not most bands, as they have cast a spell over their fans in a way that you just don’t see with their stunning sophomore statement Joy as an Act of Resistance. (released via Partisan Records) and blistering live performances. With smart relevant lyrics and blistering rock riffs that had the floor of Terminal 5 into a moshpit playground, it’s instantly apparent why they have become the can’t miss live show of recent years.

Our photographer Dutch Doscher was there to capture photos from their T5 performance last Friday, find all of his shots of IDLES and Preoccupations, who opened the show, posted along with both of their setlists below.
