Houston-based singer-songwriter Cameron Sonnier is preparing for the release of his sophomore album, Synchronicity, described as ” an evocative exploration of personal experiences and meaningful coincidences.” We previously shared lead singles “Burning To Death” and “Anytime” and today he has returned with “Nothings Guaranteed.”
His blend of dreamy psych-laden folk rock also incorporates elements of alt-country here, with a sun-bathing sense of nostalgia that showcases his craft on an entirely new plain and scope. It’s a song about “striving for the pursuit of happiness without knowing if you’ll achieve it.” and that sentiment and more are felt through and through.
