Houston-based singer-songwriter Cameron Sonnier is no stranger to these pages. He’s preparing the release of his sophomore album, Synchronicity, described as ” an evocative exploration of personal experiences and meaningful coincidences.” The record was co-produced with with LA-based Jordan Lawlor, formerly of dream-pop band M83, and known for his work with Beck and Oberhofer.

“Anytime” is the first single to be shared from the record, a track that sees Sonnier expand his dreamy brand of indie folk into something new. It somehow manages to welcome and incorporate elements of alt-country and psych rock, with elements of 90s rock as well as contemporary artists such as Alex G, evoking a wide array of emotions with every passing minute.

Speaking on the song, Sonnier adds:

“Anytime” is poetic indie pop about the fleeting nature of life, how we overcome hard times with a smile and move on, but are haunted by memories, places we’ve been and people we used to know, while creating more memories until we die.
