Arctic Monkeys have returned with “Body Paint” the second single shared from their highly anticipated new album The Car, which will be released on October 21st via Domino Records.

“Body Paint” continues the mature trajectory that was found set even further on first single “There’d Better Be A Mirrorball”, adorned with an old-school retro-fitting vocal performance from Alex Turner, and some gorgeous strings. The track sports a particular Beatles-esque influence (a bit of Bowie) with a powerful finale that sounded truly spectacular when the band debuted it last week at Kings Theatre. It’s just another step into this new realm that Arctic Monkeys wear like a finely spotted vintage jacket.

With its release comes a music video which was directed by Brook Linder and filmed in London and Missouri. They’ll be performing the song on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon tonight.

Enjoy the music video for “Body Paint” which you can find below.
