Elephant Castle is the psych-influenced project of Los Angeles-based singer and multi-instrumentalist Phil Danyew (who formerly played with acts like Foster The People). He caught our attention back in May with his track “I’m A Loser” and he’s since returned with the trippy “Life in Outer Space.”
The track has a colorful production style and some soothing vocals that are a mix of pop and psych sounds, with a slight Tame Impala influence to it.
Ae he describes it “Life In Outer Space is a cosmic love story that starts in a park and ends in outer space.” The track certainly captures the sound of what a journey through the cosmos would feel like, with a cool collected funky style at its core.
