There’s been a lot of speculation about what exactly Arcade Fire’s Reflektor is (aside from a cool fan at Festival’s) and what would be happening next Monday at 9 p.m. But now we have the official scoop thanks to an article posted by The Daily Beast, confirming the juicy details
They spoke to filmmaker Anton Corbijn, who directed Nirvana’s famed “Heart-Shaped Box” video, who confirmed that the big reveal next Monday night is a music video that he directed for the band’s new single. It is indeed titled “Reflektor”, as is the album, which will come out via Merge Records on October 29.
The video was teased by Arcade Fire with a clip that they shared yesterday. It’s the first video Corbijn’s directed since Coldplay’s “Viva La Vida”, so you know it’s going to be a good one.
Monday can’t come soon enough. All signs point that itt’s going to be an epic single.
