Houston-based singer-songwriter Cameron Sonnier is preparing for the release of his latest album, the self-produced, D.I.Y. Paradise.
We previously shared “Blood I Bleed” and he’s since returned with “18 Suicide”, a “introspective exploration of inner turmoil, existential doubt, and the longing for a simpler time” There’s no time better for a song with its subject matter than now.
The track blends a bit of an psych-indie rock sound paired with 505 drum machine beats, put together to form a melancholic combination with a reflective and wistful nature. There are elements of MGMT and Captured Tracks bands like Craft Spells and Wild Nothing running through its DNA that hit all the right spots.
