CASILIAN is the Franco-Norwegian duo of brothers Lucas. J and Mikael B. Roussel, who first won our adoration last year with their single “Hey Son.”
They have since hit back with their new single “Death is but a Friend”. Described as a “song about acceptance and the relief that comes with it.” It has a warm classic folk approach with a passionate songwriting style with a bit of a Damien Rice/The Tallest Man on Earth quality, that pours it all out in a raw and emotionally commanding fashion.
Or as they put it:
Death is but a Friend is a song about acceptance and the relief that comes with it. We live going through tough times and at the end of it, when the days are clearer and the thoughts are brighter, we feel that if we got through it all and made it – Death is but a Friend.
