Last month Toronto-based indie outfit Wine Lips returned with their new album, Super Mega Ultra. It features tracks like the previously shared “Fried IV” and the genre-bending single “Stimulation.”

The latter takes elements of psych and garage rock, putting it into a blender and creating a sly mixture of both that the band delivers in the style of bands like King Gizzard, as well as a bit of the high-octane kick of The Hives.

Speaking on the track, the band’s Cam Hilborn adds:

“I started writing Stimulation during our break in 2020. I might have put it on the shelf for a bit but one day the chorus just poured out of me and the rest of the song started to make more sense and came more naturally. It was the first song I demoed for the new record and it kind of became the benchmark.”
