Contemporary Adult is the musical alias of Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Zach Farr has recently released his full-length album Terrestrials, an album conceived during the heart of the pandemic – from which we shared singles “Sun Goes Down” and “Whale’s Call.”

Today we highlight two other standouts from the album. First is “Funny Guy” a colorful and rather intimate blend of freak folk and experimental music, that carries the torch of work from early era Animal Collective, Grizzly Bear, Annuals.

Then there is the epic closing track “Drive” which calls to mind some acoustic Ty Segall during it’s opening, proggy moments of Pink Floyd. It’s an expansive and impressive display of craftmanship that ends the record in a most memorable fashion.

You can find both offerings available to listen directly below and find the entire album over to buy / stream at Bandcamp.
