Contemporary Adult is the musical alias of Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Zach Farr – who has recently released their new EP Terrestrials, from which we shared lead single “Whale’s Call.”
“Sun Goes Down” is another highlight from the album, a smart and creative slice of indie rock that features the sort of adventurous sound that used to come out of New York City’s indie scene in the mid-2000s.
Art rock and experimental folk elements that all add up to something very distinctly its own sonic world. Or as they describe it “Imagine that Jimmy Buffett is stranded on a desert island on acid and starts making Talking Heads music”.
