Irish Basement is Washington, DC-based musician and producer Mike Toohey, who caught our attention earlier in the year with his single “Surfin’ Serotonin“, the title track from his debut EP release in February.
“A Sob Story” is another standout offering from the release that features some very New Order elements, dipping into some of the heart and soul of new wave with post punky guitars, dreamy guitar lines, and an emotional undercurrent that packs a serious emotional punch.
