Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever has announced that their third album is entitled Endless Rooms and will be released via Sub Pop on May 6th. The band describes the album simply s them “doing what we do best: chasing down songs in a room together.”
The record – the first that they self-produced, took shape when the band would find time in-between lockdown decamping to a mud-brick house in the bush around two hours north of Melbourne built by the extended Russo family in the 1970s. It’s there the 12-song took shape, informed by the acoustics and ambiance of the lakeside house
With this news comes the release of the record’s first single “The Way It Shatters” a song that has that now trademark Rolling Blackouts swagger with the ever-impressive rhythm section in full force, along with crisp jangly guitars, and vocals that you will be hard-pressed to not sing along to.
It’s release comes with a music video directed by the band’s longtime collaborator Nick Mckk and starring the band’s Joe White as a man stumbling to some David Lynch-esque birthday party moments.
