Bubble Tea and Cigarettes, the New York-based dream-pop duo of musicians Kat and Andi, whose singles “Go Down Stairs to the Blue Moon, Buy Some Fried Chicken” and “Santa Monica” captured our attention and heart over the summer.

The duo recently returned with their single “Liz”, an ethereal late-night journey with a slow-burning atmosphere of eerie vocal work and effects and a patient meditative production around it. The track emulates a bit of the spirit of modern acts like Cigarettes After Sexy with a hypnotic and melancholic expressionism that is also deft in its sonic delivery.

The song comes with a music video directed by Xinyi Zhu, an LA-based director originally from China who was recently recognized for her short film, Kindling. Find the video available to watch now, which we have posted below.
