Maja Lena is the project of Swedish folk singer-songwriter Marianne Parrish, formerly of alt-folk band Low Chimes, who is preparing to release her debut album The Keeper, which will be released on July 23rd via Chiverin Records.
We previously shared the first single “Avalanche” and today we share its follow-up, “Antares.” Equally, as artful in its delivery of classic folk sounds, it also inhabits an enchanting world utterly and completely of its own. If we had to describe it, it’s like a cross of Jose Gonzalez, Big Thief, and Aldous Harding. But it’s truly something in a world of its own.
