Sydney-based duo Salarymen have announced that they will release their debut EP Scene Change on June 4th via Scenic Drive Records. With the announcement came the release of new single “Fine,” following their previously shared single “Something To Me” which was released back in December.

“Fine” is a winning effort that takes elements of classic rock and pop and combines them together in a utterly charming and delightful fashion. The song just feels like a warm summer day, with a delightful pair of harmonies, crisp guitar licks and comforting synths bringing it all together. This is fine classic pop in its finest form.

Guitarist and co-vocalist Thom Eagleton explains the meaning behind the track below:

Fine is about feeling outside the norm in more ways than just one, but most importantly it’s about relishing in that fact and coming to embrace it. Growing up, being mixed-race in the Sutherland Shire and wearing skinny jeans wasn’t a great combo haha. Moving into adulthood, I’ve been frowned upon for choosing a career path in the arts, among other life choices, but I don’t hold a grudge about anything. Fine is about not seeking out validation that may never come, and leaving others to come to the realisation in their own time
