Salarymen are a Sydney-based duo who have recently returned with their brand new single “Something To Me,” which is a preview of what is to come from their debut EP due out next Spring.

The track carries a joyful life-affirming jangly indie rock sound that feels both timeless and vibrant. Cool collected vocals, combined with colorful synths and guitar work all add up to a melancholic high that feels as if one is floating.

The band’s lead singer and guitarist Thom Eagleton had the following to say about the track:

“This song is a bit of an anthem for any musician going through an existential crisis. It’s about questioning whether you should continue on with a dream you’ve been chasing for years, and almost giving up. After a band that I’d given so much to financially and personally broke up very abruptly, I felt an immense sense of pressure to throw the towel in and get a ‘real’ job, and I wrote this track shortly after about how crucial music is to my life. Ironically, such dark moments can also be some of the most inspiring musically.”
