Australian-indie quartet Girl and Girl will release their new EP A Typical Friday Night (Shame, Sex and Misery) soon and have previously shared the incredibly catchy “Shame It’s Not Now.” The band has recently followed that with follow-up single “White Tiles.”

The band tap into a darker atmosphere and sonic terrain, with plenty of that enthusiasim and energy. There is a bit of a surf rock sound with some cool backing vocals, all that add to a dark mysterious tone, as if you’re walking alone on a creepy dark beach late at night.

When detailing the song, the band’s Kai James explained:

It’s basically a nonchalant existential crisis and I wrote it on the white tiled floor of my ex-Brisbane granny flat, one stupidly hot afternoon when I was feeling rather impartial to all things life and death.
