This summer we premiered Finnish rockers’ Grandmother Corn’s single “Paisley Underground” and the band has since followed that up with a cover of the Sly Stone and the Family song “Help Me With My Broken Heart.” It was introduced to Grandmother Corn by Gaz Mayall while the band was playing in the UK at Gaz’s Rockin’ Blues Club in London.
The band take the retro old school funk and soul vibes of the original and turn it up a notch with a slightly more energetic rendition of the track that they spin into something very much of their own.
