Russian band The Rûah hail from the village of Krasny Yar/Samara, coming together inspired by both shoegaze and pop music and decided to merge them together into “naive emo songs.”
They do exactly just that on their exceptional track “Mirror,” which comes from their debut album Well, This Shall Pass Too.
“Mirror” channels elements of dark hazy atmospheric shoegaze while also encompassing some early 2000s emo aspects. The dark-tinted combination works quite well and hits a heavy punch both sonically and emotionally.
