Hailing from West Yorkshire, Magick Mountain channel their best West Coast garage rock sound and completely own it on new track “King Cobra.”
If you mistake this for a new slice of Ty Segall, you’d be forgiven. The psych-influence is felt on this brain-melter, one that dives into some sweaty goodness, with a bit of a low-key catchy hook, the sort that fellow West Coast rockers Wavves make look so easy.
Oh, I should also mention that this is their first official proper release. One that will lead to their debut album. For now, find a description from the band about “King Cobra” below, where you can also blast this bad boy as loud as possible
King Cobra lyrically encapsulates a story of a mythical snake, but plays on double meanings referring to emotions around fear, anxiety and our own inner demons.
