Holy Motors are a band from Tallinn, Estonia who just announced their new album Horse, the follow up to the group’s critically acclaimed 2018 debut album, Slow Sundown, which is due out October 16th via Wharf Cat Records.

The album announcement was paired with the release of new single “Country Church.” The track sees the band take their sound into a dreamy country-rock direction that suites them quite well.

Guitarist Lauri Raus describes the song saying:

“Country Church” was written while we were driving from Tennessee to Texas. Its our own spin of a country tune. Its about failing romantic relationships and the profound mental blues. It’s an honest one. Dealing with a failing romantic relationship and how low that gets you. Maybe that’s the whole reason as to why it came out in country-style guitar little bit. Because country music is just three chords and the truth, right?
