Lawn is a New Orleans-based indie-rocker outfit who have recently announced their sophomore album Johnny, which will be released on September 4th via Community Records / Muscle Beach Records.

The band have shared their new single “Nighttime Creatures,” a track that channels a lot of the best acts of the 90s indie rock scene, which takes a jangly folk sound that slowly but surely expands itself as it goes on.

Lawn’s Mac Folger wrote the track and explains:

“Nighttime Creatures” is about wanting to be at the party but also hating it: my own natural inclination to be extroverted and the overwhelming anxiety of being in a crowd. I wrote the words to this song while watching a group of slightly aged-out frat guys yell at each other from my second-story window.”
