Philadelphia’s Air Devi caught our attention back in January with the release of her stunning track “Standoffish.” and then in March released her swanning about EP (and can be purchased here).

She’s since returned with a brand new single “Move Without Place.” The track continues that lush summery indie pop sound that she won us over with so handsomely on the EP and does so while connecting with her heritage and roots.

Find a personal description about the track below:

Move without place is a song about a search for freedom, truth, and belonging. It was written out of a desire to understand and connect with my roots. The song is influenced by the punk rock music I listened to growing up alongside my Indian heritage— you might call it “Indian indie rock.” This song is nod to the histories that we carry, that have shaped what we are today and how we see the world, though we may not always be aware of it. I hope that Move Without Place will resonate with anyone who finds themselves in a diaspora, South Asian or otherwise, who is searching for their place.
