Last year we posted a track from Vern Matz, a band that formed at Yale University. Today we hit back with their new track “Daisy” a song that they described as “an old song about a girl and aliens.”
Immediately the song strikes you with a warm and familiar feeling, like an old friend that you haven’t seen for years but have picked up right where you left off. It carries a great deal of emotional weight and sincereity, a stripped down folk song that is tenderly constructed and full of heart.
Or as they describe it “like a good danish and warm coffee.”
