Radio Valley is the Swedish synth-pop duo of Josefin Boström and Daniel Gidlund. They have released their debut single “Bury My Head,” which is set to appear of their upcoming EP The Helpless Romantic.
The track captures the essence of the feeling that a good pop tune can bring out, with some natural talent for crafting a big hook, while also carrying emotional weight at the very same time. It reminds a great deal of some of the earlier work from artists like Chvrches.
The song is about feelings of loneliness in the search for someone to love you back. The duo describes this state of mind as similar to a hungover’s frail sensibility. Or as they put it:
I think a lot of people can relate to waking up and wishing you would’ve never opened up about how you felt for that someone, the night before. “Bury My Head” is about feeling ashamed of yourself when love is not reciprocated
They dedicate the song to all us hopeless romantics, a sentiment that most of us can certainly relate to.
