“Falling Asleep” is Cape Weather’s third single off their upcoming EP out in June via Anxiety Blanket Records. We previously shared the first two singles, “Keep A Secret” and “Try Harder.”
They keep the good vibes going on “Falling Asleep.” Barely passing the two-minute mark, the duo find a way to create a lush dreamy soundscape that channels the vocals and energy of acts like Lana Del Rey and Tennis. A perfect song suited for summer listening.
Find the band’s description of the track below:
‘Falling Asleep’ explores the weight we put on social interactions that we view from a distance. We wanted the sound of the song to feel like a classic score, fusing both modern and traditional instruments. The guitar line that carries the song could be played by an orchestral string section, but the guitar gives it a more modern touch, with the clarinets as a counterbalance, giving it a timeless feeling.
