Albuquerque, New Mexico’s John King Cave is preparing for the release of his debut album Devil Rides Beside, which will be released on May 1st.
A few weeks ago we shared the lovely second single “Gethsemane” and today we return to share “Junebug,” the third single on the record.
It’s another pretty and emotional slice of American rock and roll with a folk influence to boot. Carefully crafted with a longing and sense of melancholy.
As the artist himself describes it:
Junebug is melancholy bittersweet. It is the determination to get up after loss and pain. The delicacy of the flakes off an early morning pastry. Junebug is self reflection and omnipresence. Junebug is the loss of love as much as it is an ode to love.
