Durham, North Carolina’s Sunbather has been releasing new music as a part of their “Seasons” series, where they released a new single for each season. We previously heard “Summer” and “Fall” and they’ve since returned with “Winter.”
The track has an effortless natural beauty and emotional current running through it. With dreamy lush instrumentation paired well with sincere vocals, “Winter” is a gorgeous effort that spans nearly seven minutes.
Find a little bit more on the track straight from the band themselves:
At almost 7 minutes long, this jam doesn’t scream “lead single”, but it beautifully brings the vibe and themes I started with Spring last year full circle with a blend of dreampop/shoegaze mixed with post-rock and progressive tendencies. I hope you can appreciate the length and tenderness of this jam. It’s intentional. Try to listen to more than the mandatory 90 seconds to feel the vibe. Cheers.
