Day Wave, the project of Jackson Phillips, has returned with his new single “Starting Again,” which will be released via PIAS Recordings.
The lush dreamy nature that Phillips has been perfecting throughout his career sounds true and full of life on “Starting Again,” packed to the brim with emotion and coming from a place of importance to him as a songwriter.
As Phillips describes about that song:
Phillips says “I wrote “Starting Again” in a time when I needed to get out of a creative and emotional rut. It’s about ridding yourself of people who convince you that you’re not good enough. Sometimes that person can be yourself, and it can be a struggle to start over with a new outlook. But I still try.
