Recap: Basilica Soundscape 2016

(Explosions In The Sky at Basilica Soundscape 2016)This September brought another unique and interesting edition of the Basilica Soundscape festival up in Hudson, New York at Basilica Hudson. If you have ever experienced the festival, you’re truly hard pressed to find a more eclectic a lineup at any festival.

The experience Basilica really doesn’t feel like any other music festival, but rather a laid back gathering at a cool warehouse where great bands of all genres happen to play. It was my third consecutive year going up to cover the festival, and when you get to see bands like Explosions In The Sky a mere few feet away at a scenic atmosphere unlike any other that they’d normally play, it makes the trip totally worthwhile. Hey, even David Cross was there hanging out on day 2 taking in all the great art.
