Earlier this year The Tallest Man On Earth returned with new album Dark Bird Is Home, released via Dead Oceans.
The album saw Kristian Matsson take on a fuller, richer direction, and he demonstrated that to tremendous effect during his intimate showing at Music Hall of Williamsburg in June.
I caught him again later in July at Newport Folk Festival. Although obviously a much larger setting, he still was able to bring a mix of his intimate storytelling along with his broader new approach.
