Tomorrow night Moon King, the Toronto-based duo of Daniel Woodhead and Maddie Wilde, will return to New York for a slot at Bowery Ballroom, opening for Mr. Twin Sister. The group released their debut album Secret Life earlier this year via Last Gang Records
We last caught Moon King when they played Baby’s All Right along with Doldrums, the band of Daniel’s brother, Airick. Their performance at Baby’s that night was impressive, and I’m sure they will have no problem filling out the room at Bowery with their power-psych rock sounds. It also doesn’t hurt that right after you’ll be treated with the always funky late-night jams from Mr. Twin Sister, who always deliver the goods live.
There are still a few last minute tickets on sale for the show, but you may want to move quickly on those.
