On the weekend of September 12 & 13 Basilica Sound Scape will return to Hudson, NY. The fest is sporting an impressive lineup that includes Swans, Deafheaven, Richard Reed Parry (of Arcade Fire), Julia Holter, Tim Hecker, White Lung, Emily Reo, Perfect Pussy, Majical Cloudz, Eleanor Friedberger, Gamelan Dharma Swara, Guardian Alien, Greg Fox, Endless Boogie, Sterling Ruby, Mira Gonzalez, Torn Hawk, Michael Chapman, Blazer SS, Soft Pink Truth, and Rainbow in the Dark.
The festival goes down at Basilica Hudson, a historic reclaimed 1880s factory on the Hudson waterfront and aims for “specific connections and overlaps instead of “festival”-style overload.” For the third year in a row it was put together by Basilica Hudson Creative Directors Melissa Auf Der Maur and Tony Stone, who are working in collaboration with Pitchfork Senior Editor/Director of Events Brandon Stosuy and Brian De Ran of Leg Up to program BasilicaSoundScape.
