Warpaint are back with a new song called “Love Is To Die,” which will be off their upcoming new self-titled album, due out January 21 via Rough Trade.
“Love Is To Die” is a otherworldly metative journey that leans equally on psych-elements and pop. It’s instant, and finds ways to hook further into your brain with every listen. It’s transcendent and hypnotic. In other words, it’s god damn good.
After the band experienced some inspirational writing/recording session at The Joshua Tree last year, the album was conceived. The album was recorded and mixed with Flood, except for 2 songs which were handled by Nigel Godrich.
