There are not enough good stories out there. So when one comes by and it really has an impact on you, it’s important to share it with all of those around you. This story was especially worth sharing to you guys, as it has a small musical connection.
I just saw a really heartbreaking video about the last days of Zach Sobiech, a Minnesota teenager who was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, and was told he only had months to live. He took the time to live life to the fullest, and ended up recording a lovely song called “Clouds” that is not only a great song, but one that really hits you hard when you know the story.
I’m sad to report that Zach passed away on Monday. But with his passing came a fury of well deserved support. It’s currently #1 on iTunes, and has over 4 million views on youtube. All proceeds go to the Zach Sobiech Osteosarcoma Fund, and amazingly, the song may break the Billboard Hot 100 debut. And it’s not just because of his sickness or death that the song is doing well. It’s genuinely well written and really well done. Buy it on iTunes here.
