
Essex psych-pop band Rooskin returned with their new EP, Dopatine, released back in the spring. The EP title fuses Nicotine and Dopamine, as a “play on the parallels between what large portions of recent generations have become addicted to and, subsequently, have to pay for later in their lives.”
One of the highlights from the EP is the single and title track “Dopatine” that features London psych-soul band Beach for Tiger. The track is a smooth blend of funky instrumentation that has ruminations of late nights spent on a chill beach during a beautiful summers night. It’s a track described as:
Conceptually, ‘Dopatine’ looks at the trials of modern life caught up in the digital realm and explores topics like generational blame, mortality and refreshed outlooks on life.
