Softie, is the project led by Oakland-based musician Nicholas Coleman, who has returned with new EP, SOMERSAULT, which was released back in May via Cherub Dream Records.
“kiss kiss kiss” is the EP’s opening track, one that channels some of the best of shoegaze, with heavy traces to acts like my bloody valentine. Glorious fuzzy guitars and a blissful nature that shimmers along with a hypnotic quality – it’s a perfect table setter for what’s to come on the rest of the EP.
“listless” is described as slacker rock inspired shoegaze at it’s finest” and that’s a mighty accurate description. The track captures some harmonious levels of fuzz with a chilled out track that completely immerses you into its sonic vibe.
