Slow Joy is the project of Dallas-based singer-songwriter Esteban Flores, who returned last month with his new album, A Joy So Slow At Times I Don’t Think It’s Coming, released via Mick Music.
One of the highlights off the record is “Wound” a track that serves as ” a reminder that grief takes time.” It has some heavy-hitting guitar work, channeling some of the best of the early 2000s emo scene, with a bit of chugging garage rock anthemic spirit to it.
