Brooklyn-based electronic rock and shoegaze act Death Drive returned in April with their single “Let the Wound Heal,” via Paintbox Records.
The track is a hazy dreamy slice of electronic-leaning dream pop with a heavy atmospheric style of production. It features equally dazzling vocals from Tori Hall of the New York-based band Dogs on Shady Lane that only add to the emotional heft and sonic textures.
Speaking on the track, the band’s Raj adds:
“The demo was named ‘harrisonfordbladerunner.’ That’s where the idea took off for Tori with the lyrics, and I named it that because that was the poster in front of me in the room where we finished the demo.”
