The Goodbye Radio are a band that make the past come alive again on their appropriately titled single “Twisted Time Travelers”. It’s one of their first new singles in over a decade, both set to appear on their new album, In This Sleeping City, set for release this summer.
The track harkens to classic 60s pop classics from a bygone era, mixed with dreamy power pop qualities as well. But there is a throwback quality that feels old school and feels like it could have been a cut song by The Oneders in That Thing You Do!.
“She’s Got a Death Ray” is a similar infectious slice of indie pop with some big hooks and a melancholic bittersweet nature that is equally as charming and upbeat as it carries a reflective sense of longing that is sincere in its message.
