Justin Sconza is a singer-songwriter based out of Chicago, who recently shared his new album, Standards, from which we shared single “If I Could Do It All Over Again”, earlier this year.

“Broken Glass” is another highlight off of the record, one that sees Sconza once again demonstrate his natural songwriting ability. There is a sweet melancholic and nostalgic tone to the track, bittersweet in nature, although the dream pop sound is bright minded and upbeat, a delicate balance that he achieves quite well.

Speaking on the single, he adds:

“Broken glass” is about fighting the urge to be nostalgic, to try to look forward at the future rather than back into the past, which can suck you in. Especially because there is no way back, since the past is gone.
