Scoffs is the project of Detroit, Michigan-based musician Scott Allen, also of Big Mess and Thunderbirds Are Now!. Earlier this year he released his new EP, Scraps (2021 A.D.).
Meant to follow-up their 2020 self-titled album, the album marks the final one in their discography. But with songs like the heavenly “Possible Opener / To Be Gone Forever”, it is one hell of a final release. With Brian Eno like cinematic electronic flourishes, and moments of pop bliss in the vein of Gorillaz, it’s a winning combination that soars high in the clouds.
