Optometry is the Los Angeles-based duo of John Tejada and March Adstrum, who released their new album, Lemuria, earlier this year via Palette Recordings.
“Never Coming Back” is a standout track from the album that closes the album, one that blends hypnotic electronic flourishes that add a haunted cinematic atmosphere, paired well with airy vocals. There’s a bit of a new wave and post punk undercurrent as well, that all combine into a sound that is gripping and a perfect ethereal conclusion to the record.
