The Choir is an alt rock indie, post-rock/ambient artist originally from L.A. and now based in Nashville. They returned this year with new album, Translucent, featuring post-rock ambient instrumentals such as the standout, “Plastic Swords.”
The track blurs the line of genre, with building swirls of ambient instrumentation, as well as jazzy elements, that all combine to something larger than life and cinematic. Like a blend of Brian Eno, Bon Iver, and Sigur Rós.
