Taxidermy is a Copenhagen-based experimental noise rock/post-punk band that recently shared its new single “Impending”, taken from their upcoming EP, Let Go.
The track is a moody and artful blend of art rock with a broody sense of post-punk atmosphere that reminds of the work of both Iceage and Black Country New Road. The band wonderfully teeter between moments of restrained beauty, and raw hard hitting punk that hits you straight in the jaw, right back to the early 90s.
Speaking on the track, Osvald Reinhold describes the song as:
a moment of clarity; a detached, fleeting overview of the limited nature of existence, on the brink of being overtaken once more by oblivion and habitual repetition.”
