North Walians Sister Envy recently hit back with their third single “Swallowed By The Ground”, a track that hones in on a “relationship falling apart.”
The track has a big sweeping blend of jangly indie rock with an ode to classic 90s Brit rockers with a bot of an Oasis widescreen nature and charm to it. There’s a confident sound to the track that comes out firing right out of the gate with guitar work that delivers a blissful amount of fuzz, laying the foundation for the soaring big time vocals from lead singer Kameron Jolliffe.
Speaking on the track Jolliffe says:
“I had the main riff lying around for a while, and didn’t really touch it, though I really liked it. We started jamming it in a rehearsal and the song pretty much wrote itself, it quickly became one of our favourite songs to play together.”
