Cigarettes for Breakfast is a Philadelphia-based band that recently shared their new album, Slow Motion, which was released via Abandon Everything Records (vinyl), Candlepin Records (cassette), and The Upstate Sound (digital).
Kicking off the album is “Glue”, a track that is an ode to some classic shoegazers, most explicitly My Bloody Valentine, with its frantic shoegaze delivered opening riffs and blissful epic soaring nature. Its an influence that the band’s Tim Anderl wears on his sleeve, when discussing the song, mentioning:
“Sure to stir up nostalgic memories of the first time a needle dropped on My Bloody Valentine’s Isn’t Anything.”
