Los Angeles artist Taleen Kali – member of TÜLIPS, offered up a cover of My Bloody Valentine’s “Cupid Come”, which was then morphed into something else through a remix from Canadian darkwave act Verttigo.
The combination of the remix and cover add up to something that has an electric neon-coated dance quality, that feels like soundtrack for a never-ending night out on the town. It does what a good cover and remix should do and offers a fresh imagining of the original and fully makes it its own thing.
